Haute couture autumn-winter 2010-2011: Valentino

The last day of parades of haute couture in Paris we had reserved two proposals of large firms: Jean Paul Gaultier and Valentino. The latter surprised with a very young and away from other proposals baroque \’Haute Couture\’.

Valentino\’s proposal, led by Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli, directed his arrows at a younger audience and relaxed than in previous proposals. Female? Elegant Yes? Also. However, the collection has left a sour taste among the faithful of the house.

The flirty mini-dresses, in which denotes a style clearly influenced by Miu Miu, replacing the usual party dresses. The designers have opted for a feminine collection, with echoes sixties dominated by the cut \’babydoll\’.

The color palette is soft and concise. The black and white are the protagonists, with muted pastel colors. The characteristic \’Valentino red\’ in this collection is limited to a couple of simple designs
