Josep Abril Luxury has presented his collection for spring / summer 2011 in Barcelona. It was one of the first parade, surrounded by excitement and a very special sunset scene with live music.

Under the motto: \”All things are mutable, imperfect and incomplete\” Josep Abril speaks of time. The concept of time is something that has obsessed mankind for centuries, is ephemeral and ends up be a luxury. That luxury is the speaker Josep Abril, of that time has no boundaries, and becomes a \”no time\”, no seasons, no past and future, only time.

Given this conception of time can easily understand the collection of delicate and fresh but with dark colors and worthy of winter. A priori it is somewhat shocking to see the absolute predominance of black and gray but gradually appear cobalt and magenta, to reach the target more typical of summer. The fabrics in the collection are cotton, wool and linen cold.

The collection could be described as minimalist, almost close to Prada with the severity of shapes and clean lines. It is a men\’s collection with some outputs but with a clear female androgynous style.

Knits are interesting because despite the appearance and heavy winter turn out to be light and full transparency, in addition to its use highlights sweaters pants.

The flat line of the collection is more classic and masculine, resulting in perfect suits, jackets and shirts, many based on the technique of angle and line.

Josep Abril was born in Barcelona in 1962, and that is where he studied Fine Arts and Fashion. In 1991 he won first prize for new designers Gaudí. His first collection was presented in 1997 in the fashionable area of Barcelona. This is the first under the brand Josep Abril. Since then he has paraded and presented their collections provided in the official circuit Barcelona Fashion.

In 1998 began his international career. Currently, in addition to designing and producing their own collection, teaches at ESDI (Escuela Superior de Diseño) and IED (European Design Institute) and makes costumes for theater, dance and other entertainment.
